Raccoon Removal

Signs you need this

• Heavy, deliberate footsteps overhead — raccoons sound like a person crawling, not a rodent
• Chirring or crying sounds in spring, which usually means a litter
• Torn soffit, pulled-back shingles, or a hole big enough to put your arm through
• Trash cans tipped nightly and the lid pulled off

What the visit involves

1. Confirm raccoon activity and check for a maternity den before anything else
2. Remove the adult and any young by hand from the den site
3. Seal the entry with material heavy enough to stop a raccoon reopening it
4. Clean and treat contaminated insulation where droppings are concentrated
